Message: I'm considering purchasing a 1986 Lagonda (U.S. car), and although I have owned older exotics for many years, and am familiar with the requisite upkeep, I'm wondering what owning a Lagonda would be like to drive almost on a daily basis? What would be required to service it, and are they fairly reliable if kept in proper shape? (the one I'm looking at has only 20,000 miles) Any help would be greatly appreciated. | |

Buy a good one, look after it (you say you already have experience of classic car ownership), and enjoy the experience. I would say yes, they are fairly reliable. Make sure with any car you are considering buying, that all electrical components/switches are working. Can you let me know your location & the chassis number of the car you are looking at? |

Mine, a 1982 US car is more often is storage, although recently, I used it for nearly a month and it has never performed better. I wish you well with your car. |
